What better way to learn the language and culture than to live with a host family. Host families provide a warm and welcoming environment, providing meals in the home as well as an opportunity to immerse yourself in everything the country and culture has to offer. Just like families in Canada, host families abroad represent many different compositions, nationalities and live in a variety of different areas from small towns or villages to larger cities. Families come in all shapes and sizes but one thing they all have in common is that they are motivated to be part of the experience and look forward to welcoming you into their home!

The summer program provides for placement in the Parisian suburbs near other participants, so you can live close to your friend or classmate! During the optional 3rd week you will stay with your host family only so you get a full immersion experience and an opportunity to really see what living like a local is like!

Minimum age: 12

Maximum age: 18.5 years upon arrival.

Want to travel with your siblings or friends? You are more than welcome to!

Two years of French language study is required. Those students who do not have prior language experience must participate in a 1week language camp hosted in Paris. The language camp takes place the week before your official program start date.

Attend language classes in the mornings Monday to Friday and take part in sightseeing in the afternoons.

Get your fill of French culture participating in some of the following:
– a day at Disneyland Paris theme park
– a day at Versailles Castle and its gorgeous gardens
– a lift ride up to the top of the Eiffel Tower
– a stroll around the Champs Elysees

… and many more!

Fun fact: Wednesdays are a full day of sightseeing and activities!
