ACCOMMODATION STYLE: HOMESTAY

stay-icon

What better way to learn the culture than to live with a host family. Host families provide a warm and welcoming environment, providing meals in the home as well as an opportunity to immerse yourself in everything the country and culture has to offer. Just like families in Canada, host families abroad represent many different compositions, nationalities and live in a variety of different areas from small towns or villages to larger cities. Families come in all shapes and sizes but one thing they all have in common is that they are motivated to be part of the experience and look forward to welcoming you into their home!

ORIENTATION: 2 DAYS IN AUCKLAND

Included in the 5 and 10 month programs, students kick start the exchange experience with a 2 day orientation in Auckland. Arrive in Auckland at the start of your exchange, meet other exchange students, get a crash course in the culture, and do a little sightseeing so that you can start your exchange off right before heading to your local community!

For short term – 2 and 3 month programs, you will receive a local orientation in your host community to help you get acquainted with the sights, sounds, and way of life in your local area.

LANGUAGE: ENGLISH
